| Cool Slashdot-esque site, with a twist |

 Probably old news to anyone who considers themself a geek, but I stumbled across digg.com yesterday and thought they had a pretty interesting setup. They've figured out a great way to have the internet community participate in gathering news ala Slashdot and Fark, but without the bias of the site's creators or editors. I did see some posts from angry users that indicated the site admin still did some level content filtering of content they feel is inappropriate & still happens to get a lot of "diggs" and placed on the main page -- I think that's expected to a certain degree, however. Pretty cool stuff though -- I'll have to add their feed here when I do the next redesign/reorganization of Techdose. |
