| Google releases free Picasa photo organizing software |

 Google has again stretched their mighty power over into the desktop market, after making Picasa a free download (formerly a $29.95 photo organizing software). This makes me wonder just how long it will be before Google will release an operating system to compete with Microsoft. GoogleOS perhaps? Maybe Googlix!
Using technology developed by Picasa Inc., which Google bought last year, the new software will try to make keeping a photo collection and editing pictures simple even for beginners, said Lars Perkins, Picasa's general manager. |
