 Reuters has a cool article about some scientists at the University of Britain that have developed a phone cover that will turn into a sunflower after it's thrown away. The phone cover contains a sunflower seed which would feed off the nitrates as the cover begins decomposing. Motorola is not yet sure if it will adopt the technology in its phones yet, but it's likely just a matter of time. Considering the amount of cell phones that get thrown away every year, this is great news for the environment. I wonder how long it takes for the cover to decompose and sprout the sunflower.. or if the phone is underneath other trash. |
