| Microsoft to offer cheap Xbox 360 Dev Kit? |

 Since I'm on a videogame kick recently, I found this pretty interesting -- there are some rumors abound that Microsoft will be soon be announcing a $100 Game Development Kit for the Xbox 360. Most of the time these kits cost thousands of dollars and are only available to major game development companies, but this would mean practically anyone could be able to work with the system. This reminds me of the days of Atari, when game publishers were being created overnight and some of them went on to become pretty successful companies. If the rumor is true, this would be a great way for individuals to show off their talent on a next-gen system (job portfolios, etc) and possibly help change gaming for the better by getting some new ideas and creativity out there. |
