Atari's Founder Criticizes Sony

Nolan Bushnell, Atari's founder, offers his thoughts on today's gaming. He criticizes Sony's PS2 controller for being confusing and blames the complexity involved in today's gaming as the reason for the decline in gamers.

"The 3D controller that Nintendo is on to is a very good idea,” he says. “If you look at today’s controller with triangles, Xs, squares and circles, it’s scary. It’s like a keyboard. People are interface phobic."

So let that be a lesson to all you console makers.. we need 1-button arthritis-enducing joysticks, 16-colors & to focus on making great games rather than graphics and for that game to never end but just get increasingly faster.
