|Gamespy license fee increase may affect PC to Mac gaming

|Gamespy, the popular matchmaking technology for online gaming, is increasing its licensing fees for Mac game publishers. Mac game publishers license the software development kit from Gamespy to allow for cross-platform gaming with PC users. While Gamespy previously offered the SDK at a discount rate to these publishers, Gamespy is no longer willing to negotiate discounted rates. This could have an affect on some newer Mac games whose PC versions rely on the Gamespy services.
