|Traffic lights that respond to condition could improve frustrations of motorists

|Looks like traffic lights could become a whole lot smarter in the future. A Belgian traffic researcher has proposed a method whereby sensors would detect a group of cars coming to a red light and switch the light green. This would definitely help solve some problems during late-night drives or during the winter time when there's not many motorists on the roads. I can't count the number of times I've seen someone run a red light because they were inpatient.
