|OLED Screens to take on LCDs

|Move over clunky LCDs, there's a new screen in town. Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screens are lighter, can be twice as thin as LCDs, and use up to 40 percent less power.
OLED displays are already being used in smaller portable devices, and it's only a matter of time before we see them in laptops and televisions. The only thing holding them from competing currently is that they cost almost twice the amount of an LCD to manufacture -- but prices will fall as this technology makes it into more consumer devices. One clear advantage of these displays is the ability to manufacture flexible OLED displays (please do not attempt this at home with an LCD!).
