TomTom One 3rd Edition GPS Review

Final Thoughts
The TomTom 3rd Edition will get you to where you need to go, plain and simple. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that more expensive GPS units have.. but do you really need your GPS to be able to play movies and mp3s? The TomTom 3rd Edition is good at what it does -- navigation without frustration. There are a couple of things I would like to see, such as the ability to save favorites into categories and have more options for adjusting the size of the text on the display.. but the pros certainly outweigh any cons. If you read reviews on other websites like Amazon, you'll see the TomTom is a well-respected GPS that others have migrated too after trying other more expensive (supposedly higher-quality) brands. If you've never owned a GPS before, now's a great time to get on-board! GPS navigation has become very affordable in the past few years and you can't beat free map updates. Now go throw out all of your maps and get driving!

TomTom One 3rd Edition internal memory flaw..
Posted 11/20/09 1:54PM by Anonymous Techdoser
I had my TomTom One 3rd Edition for about 18 months before the internal memory went bad. Now it won't do anything. I thought a neat mod project would be to replace the memory with a SD or microSD slot to upgrade to removeable memory with more capacity.. Interested?
